Monte Baldo is a mountain range within the Gardesan Prealps, reaching a maximum elevation of 2,218 meters at Cima Valdritta. The massif stretches from northeast to southwest, situated between the provinces of Trento and Verona. It borders the Po-Venetian Plain to the south near Caprino Veronese, Lake Garda to the west, the valley connecting Rovereto to Nago-Torbole to the north, and Vallagarina to the east. Access to Monte Baldo is available via the Malcesine cable car (Funivia del Baldo), located at Via Navene Vecchia 12, 37018 Malcesine VR. The cable car operates from 8:00 to 19:00, with departures every 30 minutes. An annual closure for maintenance typically occurs between January and February. Round-trip tickets for adults are approximately €22, and for children aged 5-14, around €13. A separate winter ski pass is available.
