Centomiglia del Garda

The Centomiglia del Garda is Lake Garda's most celebrated and historically significant sailing regatta — a long-distance race organised by the Circolo Vela Gargnano from the historic harbour of Bogliaco since 1951. The race covers approximately 100 nautical miles around the perimeter of Lake Garda — a circumnavigation that tests boat speed and tactical sailing skill across the lake's varying wind systems, from the thermal winds of the northern basin to the open reaches of the southern expanse. The Centomiglia typically attracts 400-500 entries from across Italy and northern Europe in classes including keelboats, sportboats, and multihulls. The starting gun at Bogliaco, with the fleet spreading across the northern lake in the September sun, is one of the great spectacles of Italian sailing.
