The Rocca di Manerba del Garda is a prominent rocky promontory situated on the southwestern shore of Lake Garda in Lombardy. Its name derives from a medieval fortification that once stood here. The site holds considerable archaeological importance, with evidence of human presence spanning from the Mesolithic period through the Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman, and Medieval eras. Visitors can explore the ruins of the medieval fortification located at the summit. Additionally, the southwestern part of the peninsula features the remnants of an ancient Roman villa. The promontory is characterized by two main peaks: Rocca Vecchia and a hill that hosts the hermitage of San Giorgio. Access to the natural park area is free, while the museum has an admission fee.
