The Mercatini di Natale di Verona — known as Villaggio di Natale or Christmas Market Verona — transform the city's magnificent Piazza Bra, Piazza dei Signori, and surrounding streets into one of Italy's largest and most theatrical Christmas celebrations. More than 150 wooden chalets sell gifts, decorations, and gourmet foods against the backdrop of the Roman Arena and Scaligeri palaces. The market runs through December with a programme of theatrical events, concerts, and the famous 'Natale in Arena' show.
