Sagra del Vino Custoza
Descrizione
The Sagra del Vino Custoza is a local wine festival at Custoza, the small DOC wine zone in the Veronese hills between Lake Garda and Verona. Bianco di Custoza DOC — a fresh, dry white wine produced from a blend of native grape varieties including Garganega, Trebbianello, and Cortese — is the star of the celebration, presented alongside local food producers and regional cuisine. The festival is a traditional village sagra at heart: accessible, authentically local, and without the commercial scale of larger events. Custoza's hilltop position near the historic battlefield of the 1848 and 1866 Italian independence wars adds a historical dimension to the visit. Easy to combine with a visit to Valeggio sul Mincio and the Parco Sigurtà gardens nearby.
