We have been returning to this hotel once or twice a year for about 8 years now and will continue to do so. Just returned from a short break there (unfortunately we could only manage to fit in 2 nights away). We received our usual warm welcome, met at the airport and had our usual room. We always love returning to Hotel Continental, its so convenient for everything around Garda and the hotel is run very efficiently. We went this time to coincide with the Bardolino wine festival which I would thoroughly recommend.

Great hotel with excellent, friendly staff who were always happy to help and assist with queries. The location is superb, just a few minutes stroll into Sirmione del Garda and away from the busier tourist crammed streets. Swimming pool and jetty area were amazing, with great views of the lake and not very busy, so a sun lounger could always be found. Breakfast was big and plentiful and it was nice to sit out on the breakfast terrace overlooking the lake. It seemed that the rooms were cleaned, bed made and towels replaced everytime we were out, which was good.

Very friendly staff, excellent location. Made our honeymoon something to remember ! Gianni the manager is conscious about making your stay perfect. Excellent breakfast included and a lovely restaurant within the hotel. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The food is excellent and the rooms are clean. The staff are friendly and the difference between this and lesser hotels is that this is a family run business. I have been to Garda 3 times now and this was the most comfortable stay yet. The location is convenient to the lake front and Garda centre and quiet too.

Sono appena tornata da due settimane all’Hotel Continental. Eccellente albergo a gestione familiare, buon cibo – pulito – servizio eccellente – buone strutture, lo raccomando – non sarete delusi.

This hotel is very nice, you won’t regret booking it if you are looking for a comfortable, clean, suprisingly nice place with a very convenient location – a 5 minute walk to the old town (Sirmione del Garda) which is absolutely adorable. My husband and I stayed only 2 nights on our travels through Northern Italy. Our room was spotless, new, functional, nothing spectacular, but very nice. They serve buffet breakfast (included) which was very much to my liking. The pool area is really nice, again, so clean I couldn’t stop commenting on it.

This hotel is very well managed, with that unique Italian flavor that it’s so hard to find these days. The management is committed (seems like a family business), the staff is cordial and very helpful.
This comment is written by an Italian that travels abroad weekly and relies in most cases to well known international hotel chains. I was honestly surprised by the quality of service provided, especially for an Italian hotel in Italy, the attention to details is commendable and the environment is very friendly. All in all, the hotel delivered all that you would expect, and more -no major flaws experienced, which, unfortunately often come up. Worthy of notice, the SPA and relaxation room are brand new and of very good quality and ambience. The position is great, next to the “Terme” and within walking distance for all sort of activities.

Perfect hotel in a perfect position. Just a short stroll from lake, shops and ferry. This is our second visit to this hotel and a couple we met were there for the 11th year in a row. I would highly recommend this hotel. Although not luxurious as long as you have a comfortable room, bed, good food, pool etc. why pay over the odds in a posh place. The waiting staff were so friendly it was difficult not to give them all a hug as we left! Garda is the best place to stay on the lake as it a busy place with easy access to Venice, Verona and Dolomites. I will definitely be back. Because it is a family run hotel they make sure everyone is well cared for and enjoys their holiday.

We recently returned from a week at Hotel Continental and we loved it. We booked independently and the hotel arranged our transfers from Verona airport – this was lovely – no queuing for taxis or buses and we were taken directly to the hotel. The hotel is very traditional and is owned and well managed by a lovely Italian family. The hotel is in a fantastic location 2-3 mins walk to the lake front and the ferry dock. We had a room on the top floor with a lovely view of the lake. The room was kept exceptionally clean by the excellent housekeeping staff. There is a lovely garden with large pool and lots of loungers and parasols. Waiter service is available at the pool for drinks, snacks, ice cream etc. Breakfast is self service with a lovely choice of cold meat, cheese, breads, fruits, yoghurts etc and there is also a hot selection (you will not go hungry). During breakfast you are asked to choose dinner for that evening- making service very fast and efficient. The owners have a table in the dining room and they all appear at different times to have dinner too. Ercole was our main waiter during our stay – he has a professional, friendly manner and always gave advice if we were unsure what to choose for dessert!! The family are always available to help with any questions or directions etc – nothing is too much trouble for them. We look forward to our next visit. The food is traditional Italian with a choice of three different starters, mains and desserts every evening. The menu offers little vegetarian options but if you ask the staff will offer an alternative. We had intended to eat out a couple of times, but the food was so tasty, eating elsewhere was just not an option. The room and bathroom was immaculate with power shower and the mini bar was surprsingly cheap and well stocked. The Hotel Continental is a two minute walk from the centre of Garda, which is also a pleasant place. We knew nothing of the town of Garda, but couldn’t have imangined staying anywhere else on the lake. We enjoyed touring the Garda Lake very much. It’s a family run hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful. We will be returning to the Hotel Continental.
