Distinctive nineteenth century ville d’eau, its spas are the pride and joy of Levico Terme, known to international medicine thanks to the therapeutic value of its arsenical-ferruginous thermal water, which can be found nowhere else in Italy. At the foot of Levico Terme there is the homonymous fjord-shaped lake for fishing, sailing rowboats and swimming. While right behind it, at an altitude of 1500 metres, there is Vetriolo, surrounded by pine forests near the caves where thermal water flows off the rock. Extraordinary combination of thermal and climatic pleasure, outdoor sporting activities and nightlife, Levico is the perfect site for hiking amongst fortresses and biotopes or a pleasant walk through the Old Town, discovering local crafts. Further up the mountains there is Panarotta, Lagorai’s western access to valleys, highlands, alpine lakes, chalets and wild nature where you can enjoy high altitude trekking, mountain-biking and hang-gliding.
Thermal baths – The waters of Levico Terme and Vetriolo spas are known for over 150 years in several places all over the world for their intrinsic qualities that make them – therapeutically speaking- really unique in Italy and rare in Europe. This is a highly mineralized water, strongly acidic, containing, sulfate, ferruginous – rich in iron, arsenical, containing traces of arsenic in therapeutically effective concentrations; it is also rich in other minerals such as copper, zinc, etc. Therapeutic qualities of strong water: important disinfectant and anti-inflammatory action, trophic action on mucous, stimulatory action on epithelial cells, relaxant action, stabilizing mood action. Main treatments given at our spa: balneotherapy, even with modern cabins with whirlpool spa;
 mud therapy;
 inhalation, aerosol, nasal irrigations, micronized nasal douche, sonic aerosol, ionic aerosol, pulmonary ventilation;
 vaginal irrigations;
 physical care and motor rehabilitation.
There are also areas used for traditional massage and shiatsu.
Levico Lake – The area is beautiful and fertile and there are lots of opportunities for mountain walking, mountain biking, water sports on the lake and various excursions. Surrounded by green, it reminds you a Norwegian fiord for its particular conformation. Its shores are fitted with two bathing establishments and a free – entrance shore. No motor-driven boats are allowed on the lake. Its beaches lie below the town of Levico, from which the lake stretches finger-like for over a mile into the hills. Development is very limited: over 90% of the banks are made up of woods and vineyards sloping steeply down to the water. Hiring a rowing boat or pedalo you can take a picnic and explore the unspoilt banks.Via dei Pescatori then is a charming walk along the lake, plunged into nature, the ideal occasion to restore your body and your spirit. The most practised activity is fishing since the lake is inhabited by plenty of fish species. The biotope Canneto di Levico is also of great importance and it is situated at the southern most part of the lake.
Close to the Levico and Vetriolo Spas there are two ski areas: Panarotta 2002 and Funivie Lagorai area. An alternative winter holiday in a less crowded place featuring stations for young people and families with children. Downhill ski lovers have at their disposal two modern and fully equipped ski areas: Panarotta 2002, close to the Levico and Vetriolo Spas, that offers 18 km of safe and always snow-covered ski runs served by 4 lift systems, a snow playground and the new moving walkway for the ski school and for the sled run – and the Funivie Lagorai area at Passo Brocon-Marande, above the Tesino hollow, boasting 15 km of recently renovated runs, 4 lift systems, the “Playground Lagorai” Snowpark and the Skilandia playground with moving walkway to help the kids up the gentle slopes.
